2. Acceptance of Terms
By submitting an enquiry, registering for a programme, or accessing any part of our Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.
If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please do not submit an enquiry or enrol in our programmes.

Parents or legal guardians who enrol on behalf of a minor take full responsibility for compliance with these Terms.
3. Service Description
Gemilang Labs provides structured online AI development programmes delivered in English. Our current programmes are:
AI Beginnings — 6 weeks · RM 980
An introductory programme covering Python basics, data handling, and foundational model concepts.
Machine Learning Track — 11 weeks · RM 1,440
A practical programme covering data preparation, model training, and evaluation with two grounded projects.
Deep Learning Veranda — 13 weeks · RM 1,840
An advanced programme covering neural network architectures, training, and deployment with a capstone project.
Our programmes are available online. While we primarily serve learners in Malaysia, there are no geographic restrictions on enrolment. Programme content, scheduling, and availability may change; we will notify enrolled learners of any material adjustments in advance.
4. Learner Accounts
Once your enrolment is confirmed, you will be provided with access credentials for the programme platform. You are responsible for:
- Keeping your login details secure and confidential
- All activity that takes place under your account
- Notifying us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access at [email protected]
Account access is personal and non-transferable. Sharing your credentials with others is not permitted and may result in suspension or termination of access.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that are found to be in breach of these Terms, with or without prior notice depending on the severity of the breach.
5. User Responsibilities
As a learner in our programmes, you agree to engage respectfully and in good faith. In particular, you agree not to:
- Reproduce, distribute, or share programme content with individuals who are not enrolled
- Record, screenshot, or otherwise capture live sessions without prior written consent
- Engage in behaviour that disrupts other learners or the facilitating team
- Submit work that is not your own as part of project or assessment components
- Use the platform or peer channels for unsolicited promotional activity
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the platform or other learner accounts
- Engage in any activity that violates applicable Malaysian law
We expect all participants to contribute to a supportive learning environment. Constructive feedback and peer collaboration are encouraged within the programme channels.
6. Intellectual Property
All Content provided as part of our programmes — including written materials, video recordings, code samples, curriculum structures, and visual assets — is the intellectual property of Gemilang Labs or our licensed content partners.
Upon enrolment, you are granted a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use the Content for your own learning purposes during the programme period (and, for programmes that include lasting access, for the period specified at enrolment).
This licence does not permit you to:
- Copy or reproduce content for distribution outside the programme
- Use content for commercial purposes
- Create derivative works based on our proprietary materials
- Remove any copyright or attribution notices
Work you produce during the programme — your projects, code, and written submissions — remains your own intellectual property. By sharing work in peer channels, you grant other enrolled learners a limited right to view and comment on that work within the programme context.
7. Payment Terms
All programme fees are stated in Malaysian Ringgit (RM) and are payable as set out at the time of enrolment.
7.1 Fees
Current programme fees are RM 980 (AI Beginnings), RM 1,440 (Machine Learning Track), and RM 1,840 (Deep Learning Veranda). Fees are subject to change; the fee applicable at the time of your enrolment confirmation will apply to your cohort.
7.2 Payment Methods
Accepted payment methods will be communicated during the enrolment process. We do not store payment card details on our systems.
7.3 Refund Policy
We accept requests for a full refund within 7 days of payment, provided the cohort has not yet started and no recorded content has been accessed. After the cohort start date, fees are non-refundable. If you need to withdraw due to exceptional circumstances, please contact us at [email protected] and we will consider your situation on a case-by-case basis.
7.4 Taxes
All fees are inclusive of applicable Malaysian taxes unless otherwise stated at the point of enrolment.
8. Enrolment Terms
8.1 Confirmation
Your place on a programme is confirmed once we have received full payment and sent you a written confirmation to the email address you provided.
8.2 Cohort Sizes
Our programmes run in small cohorts to maintain a close learning environment. Places are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis after payment. If a cohort is full, we will offer you a place in the next available cohort or a full refund.
8.3 Completion and Certificates
Upon completing a programme — including participation in the scheduled sessions and submission of required projects — you will receive a certificate of completion from Gemilang Labs. Certificates recognise your participation and effort; they do not confer a formal academic qualification.
8.4 Programme Changes
We reserve the right to make reasonable adjustments to programme content, scheduling, or facilitators to maintain quality. We will notify enrolled learners of any significant changes with adequate notice.
8.5 Academic Integrity
Projects and assessments are designed for your own learning. Submitting work produced entirely by someone else, or by an AI tool without meaningful personal engagement, is not in keeping with the spirit of the programme. We may review submissions and ask you to discuss your work if we have concerns.
9. Disclaimers
Our programmes are provided on an "as available" basis. While we take care to develop thorough, well-structured content, we make no representation that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of technical issues.
Learning outcomes vary between individuals and depend on factors outside our control, including prior knowledge, the time you dedicate to study, and how you apply what you learn. We do not represent that completing a programme will lead to any particular employment outcome, career advancement, or income level.
Content within our programmes is intended for educational purposes. It does not constitute professional advice in any specialised field. Where professional guidance is needed, you should seek it independently.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by Malaysian law, Gemilang Labs' total liability to you for any claim arising under or in connection with these Terms shall not exceed the fee paid by you for the specific programme to which the claim relates.
We will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss including loss of data, loss of income, or loss of business opportunity, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such loss.
We are not liable for interruptions to the Service caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including internet connectivity issues, third-party platform outages, or force majeure events such as natural disasters or civil disruption. In such cases, we will make reasonable efforts to reschedule or provide alternative access to programme content.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Gemilang Labs, its facilitators, and staff from any claim, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal costs) that arises from:
- Your breach of these Terms
- Your violation of any applicable law or third-party right
- Misuse of the platform, content, or peer channels
12. Termination
12.1 By You
You may withdraw from a programme at any time by notifying us in writing. Refunds will be considered in accordance with Section 7.3.
12.2 By Us
We may suspend or terminate your access to the programme if you breach these Terms in a material way. For non-serious matters, we will generally give notice and an opportunity to address the issue first. For serious breaches — including harassment of other learners or facilitators, or wilful misuse of content — we may terminate access immediately.
12.3 Survival
Provisions relating to intellectual property, limitation of liability, indemnification, and dispute resolution will continue to apply after any termination of your enrolment.
13. Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Malaysia. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia.
Before commencing formal proceedings, we encourage both parties to attempt informal resolution. If you have a concern, please contact us at [email protected] with a description of the issue. We will acknowledge your message within 5 working days and work in good faith to find a reasonable resolution.
If informal resolution is not possible within 30 days of your initial contact, either party may refer the matter to mediation under the Mediation Act 2012 (Malaysia) before commencing court proceedings, unless the nature of the claim makes this impractical.
14. General Provisions
Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Gemilang Labs regarding your use of our programmes.
Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full effect.
Waiver: Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms on one occasion does not constitute a waiver of that right or provision in the future.
Assignment: You may not assign your rights under these Terms without our written consent. We may assign our rights to a successor entity in connection with a restructuring or business transfer, without diminishing your rights as a learner.
Notices: Formal notices to us should be sent by email to [email protected] or by post to our registered address. We will send notices to you at the email address you provided at enrolment.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document and, for enrolled learners, notify you by email with a summary of material changes.
Changes take effect 14 days after notification, unless a longer notice period is required by law. If you continue to participate in your programme after that date, you are considered to have accepted the updated Terms.
If you have concerns about a change, please contact us before the effective date. We are happy to discuss any questions you may have.
